Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs in Dover, received a grant of $15,000 to support the Keeping Our Mind with Healthy IDEAS (Identifying Depression, Empowering Activities for Seniors) Program. The program trains outreach workers to identify and engage elderly Hispanics at-risk of depression and address commonly recognized barriers to mental healthcare. Seniors in the program are helped in managing depression through a behavioral-activation approach that encourages involvement in meaningful, positive activities.
